Barefoot Garden College Green School, London

The Barefoot Garden is set under the shade of a large crab apple tree and takes the children on a journey of textures for little feet to discover. An amphitheatre for outdoor performance with a curved boulder wall, a Celtic knot made of brass embedded in the stage floor symbolic of strength and the a family unit, Mother, Father Child. Jungle planting flanks the reading corner. Giant wild cat paws prints are pushed into the path to delight... has the Gruffalo been?

A brass 2D sculpture is set into the path denoting mending the earth. A low gabion wall encircles an area of mud for digging with a bucket of little spades and for making mud angels.
